Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Team of the GSE-Journal recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore establishes the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) if plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication.
Definition: Plagiarism is the act of intentionally or unintentionally obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or value for a scientific work by citing part or all of the work and / or scientific work of another party which is recognized as his scientific work, without declaring the source appropriately and adequately.
Therefore:
Articles must be original, unpublished, and not in the process of waiting for publication elsewhere. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it is different from the original text.
If plagiarism is identified, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article again and will agree with actions in accordance with the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:
Level of Plagiarism
1. Copying a few short sentences from another article without mentioning the source.
Action: The author is given a warning and a request to change the text and quote properly.
2. Extensively copying another article without proper quotation and citing the source.
Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in the GSE Journal and the Author may be sanctioned to not be allowed to publish in the GSE-Journal.
All authors of the article are responsible for the content of the article they submit because they all sign the GSE-Journal
Publication Ethics Statement Form. If the article is classified as plagiarism, then all authors will be subject to the same action.
If the Author is proven to have submitted a manuscript to the GSE-Journal while at the same time sending it to another Journal, and this overlap is discovered during the review process or after publication, the action is taken in accordance with point 2 above.
If acts of plagiarism are found outside the rules above, the GSE-Journal editors reserve the right to impose sanctions in accordance with editorial policy.
In summary, this plagiarism policy upholds rigorous academic integrity standards through clearly defined penalties for different levels of plagiarism identified in submissions. All authors share responsibility and may face sanctions, up to article rejection and publication bans, for violations.
